The latest report from the House Builder's Federation (HBF) entitled "Building success: the economic role of new housing" expresses concern over the low current rate of replacement of what is reputed to be amongst the oldest housing stock of any Western European country. HBF's chief executive warns that unless urgent action is taken the crisis will impact on the future growth and prosperity of the country as a whole.
