New research by CB Richard Ellis claims that the technical real estate market is starting to recover. Vacancy rates for data centres and disaster recovery space have fallen from nearly 50% in 2002 to 41% during the third quarter 2003. CBRE also forecasts that demand would shift to the City fringe and Docklands. Figures also reveal that the amount of data centre stock in five European cities has fallen while the combined 2003 take-up figure has risen 14% from 2002.
