ODPM has published the first review of the Planning Inspectorate. The Inspectorate is in good shape but the report makes further recommendations to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Inspectorate as part of the government programme of planning reform. These include the improved handling of complex cases and development plan inquiries, and improving customer service.
