A new strategy to improve standards is launched by the Department of Work and Pensions and the Health and Safety Commission (HSC) which plans to improve future standards of workplace health and safety. The plans set out a new role for HSC, the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and local authorities. The HSC strategy includes, focusing resources on poor performance to get results and promoting greater involvement of workers to make workplaces safer.
