DEFRA has outlined proposals to curb the blight caused by the illegal dumping of waste. Two consultation exercises were announced which will inform the governments action to tackling fly-tipping. The first consultation seeks to develop effective joint working between the various agencies with an interest in fly-tipping prevention. The second will focus on changes to existing legislation to make it useable and effective.
