The end of the line for forfeiture
Joyce, J.
The end of the line for forfeiture - 2004 - Estates Gazette (0407) 14 February 2004, 122-123 (3) .
Discusses the practical effects that may result from the Law Commission's consultation paper on the termination of commercial tenancies. All breaches of covenant or other tenant obligations for example, would constitute tenant default unless the parties were to agree otherwise. Similarly non-payment of rent for a period of 21 days following the due date will be deemed a tenant default. Makes further observations on new types of termination orders, court orders and adds some miscellaneous points.
