Initiative Finanzstandort Deutschland (IFD) is lobbying to transform Germany into Europe's largest investment market with the introduction of real estate investment trusts. With a membership consisting of bankers and government representatives, the IFD is trying to introduce their own version of REITS known as Immoinvests, as part of an overall plan to reform the German tax system in order to help the economy.
