Orders in the year to January 2004 were 7% lower than in the previous twelve month period and 12% down over the three months to January 2004 compared to the same three months a year earlier. Orders in the three months to January 2004 were 6% up on orders in the previous three months with increases in all sectors except public non-housing excluding infrastructure.
