The "BRC-KPMG retail sales monitor" for February 2004 shows retail sales in the UK during February increasing by 2.2% on a like-for-like basis and 5.3% growth on a total basis compared to a year earlier. Three-month trend growth rates rose from 1.7% in January to 2.1% in February for like-for-like sales and from 4.4% to 5.3% for total sales. http://www.brc.org.uk/details.asp?id=312.
