The Miles review final report , "The UK mortgage market: taking a longer-term view", has been published, setting out recommendations to improve the UK mortgage market. It advocates the removal of obstacles to the development of a market where a larger proportion of mortgages are at interest rates that are fixed for more than a few years. The final report makes recommendations on borrower advice and information, on pricing structure fairness and on helping lenders fund mortgages and handle risk in the most cost-effective way.
