Low demand housing in the North West reconsidered
- 2004
- CPRE Press Release (23/04) 31 March 2004, (3) .
A recent report from the Campaign to protect Rural England "Useless old houses? What to do with the north west's low-demand housing and high density heritage", has re-examined the main factors that cause low demand for houses in two of the north west of England's four Housing Market Renewal Pathfinder areas. The report found that perceptions about high crime, anti-social behaviour and poor street conditions are more important in the house buying decision process than the type of house. Telephone +44 (0)1524 849055 for the full report. For the CPRE press release: http://www.cpre.org.uk/news-releases/news-rel-2004 /23-04.htm
