The latest "RICS housing market survey England and Wales" shows the housing market continued its strong performance last month, with national house price inflation reported at its highest rate since October 2002. 45% more surveyors reported a rise in prices in March than a fall, up from 39% in February. Price rises were especially strong in Yorkshire, northwest England and Wales. The rest of England is also picking up. London residential propery price inflation is at its strongest since June 2002.
