Real estate markets around the world are becoming more transparent according to Jones Lang LaSalle's "Global real estate transparency index 2004". The 2004 index ranking real estate markets in 50 countries shows the UK and The Netherlands as being the most transparent in Europe and Romania and Turkey the least.
