The latest "CBI quarterly industrial trends survey" shows manufacturing recovery gathering momentum over the last three months. The balance of +18% manufacturers confirming total new orders were up is the highest since April 1995 but the growth is from a low base and the level of order books was still below normal. Export orders were well below the +17% growth expected and export deliveries were disappointing.
