A series of articles on community consultations as part of the process of designing green spaces. The first article, "Power to the people", considers good community consultation as essential to design and provides guidance on how to approach a consultation. The second article, "Doing for themselves", discusses two case studies showing how two community groups carried out a consultation. The third article, "Delivering the goods", illustrates that, despite good community input, the final result may not be a good result, using a case of an urban square in Copenhagen. The final article, "Making it meaningful", is a personal view of community consultations by a consultation and participation officer.
