Describes the problem of lightning damage to businesses in the context of a new device that prevents accumulation of electrical discharge. The Dissipation Array System (DAS) uses a charge transfer technology centred on a natural phenomenon known as the point discharge principle. The DAS employs this by providing thousands of engineering points with specific point separation which simultaneously produce ions over a large area. This prevents the formation of a streamer which is the precursor of a lightning strike. Thousands of DAS systems have already been installed worldwide in various applications.
