The Scottish Communities Minister has announced £20m regeneration fund to transform disused and run down sites into productive use. The investment, being provided to local authorities, aims to repair the sites and prepare them for further development for business, residential or recreational use. The Vacant and derelict land fund was established to provide funds to redevelop former industrial sites, landfill sites and derelict housing.
