Two articles examining changing street design to integrate pedestrians and traffic in towns and cities. "A street revolution" discusses the move away from segregation for motor traffic and foot traffic and the increase in regeneration schemes having a more open and integrated approach. "Planning for pedestrians" looks at two schemes in central London that illustrate good and bad practice in designing streets with pedestrians in mind.
