A study has revealed a shortage of planners, especially in the public sector. The shortfall was found to have been caused by the lack of graduates, low salaries and lack of career opportunities. "Skills base in the planning system" was carried out by the planning department of Oxford Brookes University on behalf of the Local Government Association (LGA).
