Government plans to require quoted companies to publish an annual Operating and Financial Review (OFR) are likely to bring a step change in the number of companies disclosing at least some information on environmental matters. But observers in the socially responsible investment community are warning companies against the temptation of relying on publication of an OFR as an alternative to comprehensive stand-alone environmental or sustainability reports.
