New rules for safer buildings

The ODPM has announced a range of new building controls to improve electrical safety in the home. The amended regulations will bring domestic electrical safety within the scope of the Building Regulations for the first time. Also announced were changes designed to improve the robustness of all buildings to avoid excessive collapse in the event of an explosion.
