A survey published by RICS has revealed that there are five ages of homebuying. People gravitate towards buying property in areas which provide them with the facilities that they want during different periods of their lives. Inevitably the most important factor for couples with children at home is proximity to good schools and nurseries - 92% state it as top priority. Whereas 77% of younger, single buyers look for good nightlife and close proximity to bars, restaurants and clubs.
