Strong growth of commercial activity continued in May and there is industry-wide optimism regarding the performance of activity over the next three months - according to the latest "FPD Savills commercial development activity PMI". The strongest growth of all the areas of activity was again private sector new build; however the rate of expansion was less marked than that seen in any of the previous three months.
