- 2004
- Scottish Executive News Release (SECDsell/2004) 14 July 2004 (3) .
A pilot scheme has been launched in Scotland which aims to cut down on the costly problem of multiple and wasted house surveys in property hotspots. Every year £9m is spent on surveys, that do not lead to a house sale. The new scheme will involve people selling homes in parts of Glasgow, Edinburgh, Inverness and Dundee commissioning their own surveys and making them available to all potential buyers - with only the successful purchaser paying for it. http://www.scotland.gov.uk/pages/news/2004/07/SECD sell.aspx
