The Building Research Establishment has been working on a certification standard for homes built using modern methods since last year. It is now consulting the sector on the detail of the plans to introduce the standard for system-built homes. A series of workshops are being held to receive feedback, before producing a second draft for broader consultation later this month. Companies already involved are the Council of Mortgage Lenders and the National Housing Federation.
