According to new government figures that have been published for business rates, up to 60% of businesses could see a fall in their relative rateable values - and in their rates bills - under the 2005 rates revaluation. The figures show the overall rateable value for non-domestic properties in England will increase by 17.9%, but will not mean a corresponding increase in rates bills. The new figures break down the effects of the 2005 revaluation by region and by property types.
