RICS rural land market survey

RICS rural land market survey - 2004 - RICS News Service (pr072) 28 July 2004 (3) .

The latest "RICS rural land market survey: Great Britain" has been published. It shows that in the second quarter, April to June 2004, the price of farmland is continuing to rise as demand outstrips supply. Prices rose by 16% on the same period last year and averaged £8630 per hectare. The rise is fuelled by a decline in the amount of land coming onto the market. Non-farmers continue to play an active role in the farmland market and account for 43% of purchases over the last quarter. For the full report see the website.
