The latest "UK economic brief" from RICS claims that Britain's major regional cities will be more serious rivals to London as commercial centres in the future. Northern cities accounted for 25% of all commercial development in 2003. Other figures include: economic growth reaching 3.4% in the first quarter of 2004 and construction output up 9.1% on a year ago.
