The ODPM has announced changes to the Building Regulations Part A, C and P. These changes will have significant impact on the work of building surveyors and building control surveyors. Part A: "Structure" will come into force on 1 December 2004, as will Part C: "Site preparation and resistance to contaminants and moisture"; and Part P: "Electrical safety in dwellings" will come into force on 1 January 2005. RICS, in conjunction with ODPM and the Association of Building Engineers are providing seminars around the country.
