The latest "New construction orders: June 2004" has been published by DTI and National Statistics. It shows that orders in the year to June 2004 fell by 1% compared to orders in the previous 12-month period, but orders in the second quarter of 2004 rose by 14% compared to the same quarter a year earlier.
