The Scottish Executive has released a new guide for councils and developers on how to build and plan where flooding is a problem. The Planning Advice Note draws together both planning and building standards advice on flooding into one document. It provides information both on the water environment, including watercourses and the coast, and the impact of floodwater on buildings and materials.
