Congestion charge hits retailers
Congestion charge hits retailers
- 2004
- RICS Press Release 12 August 2004 (1) .
With the threat of the London congestion charge extending west of the city to Kensington and Chelsea, more research must be done into the effect and impact on shops and businesses. Research published earlier this year by RICS showed that 90% of retailers view the charge negatively. Kensington and Chelsea contain large numbers of small specialist retailers who could be particularly vulnerable to even a small reduction in business. http://www.rics.org/ricscms/bin/show?class=PressRe lease&template=/includes/showpr.html&id=1221
