House prices freeze

House prices freeze - 2004 - RICS Press Release (pr075) 17 August 2004 .

The latest "RICS housing market survey of Great Britain" reports that house prices have frozen for the first time in a year. In the last three months to July 2004, figures from chartered surveyor estate agents indicate price rises have slowed across most of the country. Prices are static in the Midlands and East Anglia, falling in some areas of southern England. Although there was a slight upturn in the supply of property on the market, seller activity was actually at a standstill in July.
