The latest "Nationwide house price survey: August" reports that house prices rose just 0.1% during August, as annual increase eases to 18.9%. According to their statistics, the price of the average house stands at £153 743. Evidence suggests that the housing market activity has slowed more markedly than price growth and although they don't expect agreed prices to decline, the trend in price growth is expected to remain on a weaker path for the rest of the year. http://www.nationwide.co.uk/hpi/
