A new £100m growth fund to help drive forward a groundbreaking vision for the economic renaissance of northern England, has been launched by the three Northern Regional Development Agencies and the Deputy Prime Minister. "Moving forward: the northern way" is a growth strategy to boost prosperity across the north to close a £29bn productivity gap with the rest of the country. The aim is to create more jobs, investment and opportunities for the 15m people living in the regions.
