Examines the recent release of a two-year study "Unification of consent regimes" by the ODPM, which looked at reducing the duplications involved in making planning permission applications, conservation area and listed building consent. Contains a table of consent regimes considered by the study and a table for the proposed models for change. The study recommends the unification of scheduled monument and listed building consent, followed by the other core planning regimes of planning and conservation area consent.
