The harder parts of partnering - 2004 - Construction Law Review 2004, 20-24(4) .

Reviews current attitudes to partnering. Suggests it is intended to move the industry on from adversarial contracting. Outlines the history of partnering contracts and emphasises their differences from other types of contract. Distinguishes the different kinds of partnering contract such as bilateral co-operative construction and binding multiparty. Looks at some common complaints about partnering such as cost escalation. Concludes that despite the potential risks, partnering tends to reduce problems and disputes because of the collaborative way of working and the hierarchy of dispute resolution.
