RICS has responded to the ODPM consultation "Accounting for leaseholders monies and summaries of tenants rights and obligations". The regulations will affect both managing agents and leaseholders involved in Right to Manage companies. The response lists RICS principal concerns including the imposition of setting up separate accounts, the handling of multiple bank accounts by current software systems and the introduction of a criminal sanction for failure to present all papers to lessees within a six month period. http://www.rics.org/Property/Leaseholdproperty/lea seholdmonies.htm
