This is to ensure that it complies with what is currently regarded as best practice and that it works within the modern business environment . For example where auditing firms are being sued for their role in the failure of companies and government threatens to remove self-regulation from some professions. Sir Bryan Carsberg will lead the review of the regulatory framework, reporting in April 2005. Describes the remit of the Carsberg review, which includes the possibility of extending RICS' regulatory environment to cover companies as well as individual members and updating the relationship between RICS and its members.
