UK economy close to full capacity

UK economy close to full capacity - 2004 - RICS UK Economic Brief 28 October 2004 (1) .

"UK economic brief: October 2004" has just been released by RICS. IT reveals that the Bank of England views the economy as operating close to full capacity and posing a potential risk to inflation. It also shows that in the world of construction, commercial building remains one of the strongest areas of activity, while a sharp slowdown is apparent in private housing and public non-housing work. Growth in demand in the commercial property market is coming almost exclusively from the office market while conditions in retail and industrial sub-markets are weak.
