Orders in the year to September 2004 rose by 2% compared to orders in the previous 12 month period however; orders in the third quarter of 2004 fell by 8% compared to the previous quarter, with decreases in all sectors except private housing and private industrial orders. Private housing orders in the year to September 2004 rose by 13% compared to the previous year and public housing and housing association orders in the same period rose by 17% when again compared to the previous year.
