The CBI has warned that companies are under growing pressure to relocate parts of their business overseas. The argument is that the benefits of off-shoring outweigh the drawbacks and that it increases productivity, profitability and economic growth. CBI and Alba have jointly published a MORI survey and results show that 51% of respondents said pressure to off-shore has increased over the past two years. 31% of those had already taken some activities overseas and almost one in four are considering doing so in the future.
