Following a three month period in which house prices have been broadly flat, the price of a typical house rose 1% in November. Annual house price inflation to date eased to15% from 15.3% in October 2004. The "Nationwide monthly house price review: November 2004" also shows that the price of a typical house is now £153 439. Although prices have dropped over the past few months, the descent has been a slow orderly one rather than a rapid crash. The price of a typical property has now risen 13.2%, which is down on the prediction of 15% and down from 16% in 2003. http://www.nationwide.co.uk
