Law firm Bevan Brittan LLP has released a report especially commissioned from the Social Market Foundation. "The future of the private finance initiative" shows that PFI is a success but that work is urgently needed on the long-term management of PFI projects, especially those that will be ongoing over a 20 or 30 year term. The report recommends that a good knowledge transfer and mutual understanding of the parties' needs and trust is required.
