The total volume of new work in the year to the third quarter of 2004 was 7% higher compared with the previous year. The total volume of repair and maintenance work was 1% higher in the year to the third quarter of 2004 compared with the previous year. The seasonally adjusted number of employees in employment in July 2004 was 1% higher compared with April 2004 and was 8% higher when compared with July 2003.
