"Midland Bank plc v Serter and another" ChD 3 March 1994. Both husband and wife signed the registration of a charge against their home in order to raise a bank guarantee from the plaintiff, the latter pressing to enforce its security when the husband defaulted on payments. The wife defended, unsuccessfully, on the grounds the M had failed in its duty to explain the charge.
