Examines the effect of the Housing Bill and the new powers to make social housing grants to a wider range of bodies, including housebuilders and developers. The Housing Corporation will test these new powers for the first time next year in a £200m pilot programme. The Corporation now has two funding options for social housing, its traditional power to invest in housing associations and its new ability to support unregistered bodies.
