Assesses government proposals for safeguarding leaseholders' monies, which are the subject of the latest consultation paper relating to the implementation of the Commonhold and Leasehold Reform Act 2002. Concludes that the proposals are too onerous and impractical for landlords and managing agents. Leaseholders will be better informed about their accounts, rights and obligations but at a high price.
