The acquisition of land (rate of interest after entry) is 5.25% from 1 October 2007, having last increased from 5%. The rate is set at 0.5% below bank base rate on the reference days of 31 March, 30 June, 30 Sept and 31 December (or next the business days if any of these days are not business days) under The Acquisition of Land (Rate of Interest after Entry) Regulations 1995 (England and Wales), The Acquisition of Land (Rate of Interest after Entry) (Scotland) Regulations 1995 and the Compulsory Acquisition (Interest) Order (Northern Ireland) 1996.
