In Robinson v Everett and Another , QBD 19 May 1988, Mr. Everett, a taxidermist and Bonhams , the London auctioneers , were taken to court for being in possession of a "dead wild bird" within the meaning of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 s1(2)(a) .
